AndrewR 1 - 7

Andrew -- I have grouped these posts to reduce the number of separate entries for an individual student. You were supposed to put all your entries in ONE post, so you wouldn't have 50 separate posts. Please do NOT ungroup them.

Gametophyte - In plants and algae, there is a multicellular structure that contains only one set of chromosomes. This structure produces male or female gametes or sex cells that divide rapidly in a process called mitiosis. These lilly pads or Nymphaeaceae produce offspring through the gametophyte buried underneath the floating flowers.

6- Biome(Pond)
- A biome is an ecological habitat with its own features within a climatically similar region of the world, this example of the state of New York. This pond is its own fresh water biome, commonly found in new york. Of course this is an artificial example of a pond but it contains algae, fish, turtles, mosqitos and various plants such as a real one would.

Exotherm - An exotherm is any organism that does not generate its own body heat. Endotherms include most reptiles, amphibians and fish with other few exceptions. Instead, exotherms such as my fish rex, use the energy of the environment to control their temperature.

4. Auxin -
is a class of Phytohormone, or rather a plant hormone. Auxin is involved in regulating growth and behavioral processes in the plant. Shown here is a leaf of a regular plant which is an area of auxin production

3 -An Endotherm-
is simply a fancy name for a warm blooded animal. Cats are mammals and therefore warm blooded animals. This example of an endotherm is my warm blooded cat Cali. This organism, more specifically, generates its own heat within via the heart, major organs, brain and blood. Through a biological process of Homeostasis, cali is able to regulate his body temperature unknowingly through primitive brain structures.

.An Autotroph - is any organism capable of converting sunlight into glucose, a form of nutrition in the process of photosynthesis. This example is one of the plants assigned to us for development. This species belongs to the kingdom plantae which holds most of earths autotrophic species. This plant is one of the two given to me for the adopt a plant assignment.

1. Amniotic Egg- An everyday example of an amniotic egg is a regular chicken egg. An amniotic egg includes those laid by mammals, reptiles and birds. Amniotic eggs contain an amniotic sack filled with fluids that nurses the growing embryo. In a fertilized chicken egg, the yolk would be the food for the embryo where the egg white would be the fluid sack in which the organism would live.

  1. Very good start Andrew.

    One small correction:
The term is "ectotherm" for animals that don't produce their own heat. Exotherm is from chemistry!

    Good work.
